The Stars’ top weaknesses hurt them at home in Game 1 and 2 of this first-round series against the Vegas Golden Knights: untimely goals, slow starts, and their top guys not performing.
But now, the series shifts to Las Vegas, and the Stars will focus on utilizing one of their biggest strengths this season: road hockey.
Dallas is an excellent hockey club on the road. In fact, their 57 points earned on the road in the regular season was the most in the NHL.
“We’ve been the best road team in the league all year,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said. “We’ve got to go in there and win some road games.”
This season, they went 26-10-5 and controlled just about every statistical category.
